Injectable

The worldwide market for injectable drug delivery is expected to grow to $7.4 billion within a few years1. This growth will be fueled, in part, by the need to deliver the protein and peptide products of biotechnology which often require frequent dosing or sustained release properties. The PROMAXX system offers versatile manufacturing conditions, high drug loading, and sustained release.

Pharmacokinetic Profile Demonstrating Sustained Release for Various Durations

Inhalable

The pulmonary drug market is growing rapidly. The advent of new drug delivery systems, like the PROMAXX system, will expand this market from one of primarily local delivery of small molecules to systemic delivery of proteins, peptides, and small molecules. This may represent a major benefit to the patient – more convenient dosing potentially leading to greater patient compliance and improved health.

PROMAXX dry powder microspheres

We have formulated PROMAXX dry powder microspheres to demonstrate the utility of the PROMAXX system in the development of inhalable drug products. The dry powder retains chemical integrity and biological activity through microsphere formulation and release. The microspheres may be effectively delivered to the lung via dry powder inhaler.

Other molecules

We are developing additional pulmonary applications of our technology, utilizing the distinct size benefits, suspension properties, and delivery device compatibility, both internally and in collaboration with other companies.

Additional routes of administration

The PROMAXX technology can offer many benefits in the formulation and delivery of various therapeutic molecules. In addition to the injectable and inhalable applications, PROMAXX technology is being evaluated for nasal, ophthalmic, topical, and oral administration. We continue our commitment to our partners with the exploration of additional routes of administration to potentially deliver improved patient compliance, and expanded product lines.
